We strive to educate and inform our readers about Caribbean culture via print journals and digital periodicals to the benefit of our readers.
OUR BRAND
The average Jamaican knows “mi lickle but mi talawah” as term of endearment. The word is used in a positive light to reflect strength and bravery.
Founded by the ideas of Jamaican immigrants, Valerie Murray and Michael Robinson in 1995, Talawah is the first written approach of its kind.
Where there is misinformation and ignorance, Talawah Journals is committed to being a positive and influential vehicle to eradicate such ills.
This embodiment of work is recognized in the UK, the Caribbean and throughout North America and will grow to be the worldwide leader for Caribbean and world cultural awareness.
OUR PASSION
Our passion gave birth to a journalistic approach that has influenced others to appreciate the diversity in other people.
Another major goal of Talawah Journals is to be the leader at spreading a positive message of Caribbean culture world-wide effectively to culturally sensitive people.
To enable us to sustain our endeavors, we rely on funding to overcome market disadvantages which continues to provide our readers with content they choose to read.
While the journal features articles predominately about caribbean culture other world cultures are covered.
We address issues related to Caribbean and other world cultural lifestyles by documenting news, music and celebrating cultural icons.
